A separate and more fully attested Dasharha appears in the Vishnu Purana, Bhagavata Purana, and Harivamsha as a king of the Kroshtu branch of the Yadu lineage descending from Vidarbha through Kratha, Kunti, Vrishni, and Nirvriti, with Dasharha himself the son of Nirvriti and the father of Vyoman. This Vidarbha-line Dasharha is the figure after whom the entire Dasharha clan is named in the standard Puranic genealogies, and his descendants ultimately include Krishna, who is accordingly addressed by the patronymic Dasharha in the Mahabharata and the Bhagavata Purana. The Shiva Purana's devotee Dasharha, husband of Kalavati, is described there as "founder of the Yadu family," a description that does not precisely match the Vidarbha-line Dasharha's position as a later descendant within the Yadu lineage rather than its original founder, that title belonging properly to Yadu himself. Whether the Shiva Purana's devotee Dasharha is the same figure as the Vidarbha-line Dasharha, a conflation of his name with Yadu's, or a separate figure bearing the same name is not resolved in any source consulted, and the present profile, concerned with the father of Vijaya named in the Puru Vamsha Kathana, is accordingly kept distinct from the Vidarbha-line genealogical figure pending further evidence of identity between them.

A separate scholarly reconstruction of Yadava-era genealogy and geography has proposed, on the basis of Harivamsha material concerning a marriage between the Puru-line prince Purudvana and a princess of Vidarbha, that a king named Dasharha may have ruled Vidarbha at around the same period, and that this could mark a point of convergence between the Dasharha clan and the Madhava lineage. This proposal is an inference drawn by a modern researcher from indirect genealogical positioning rather than a direct statement in any primary text, and is noted here only as a matter of scholarly context rather than as established textual fact.
